About
BrightComSol GmbH is a privately owned nanotechnology spin-off from BOKU University, based in Vienna, Austria. Founded in March 2020 by Dr. Behzad Shirmardi and Prof. Erik Reimhult, the company leverages advanced expertise in colloidal science and nanomaterial synthesis to develop high-performance scintillator materials. These materials enhance the speed, resolution, and accuracy of digital X-ray detectors, serving applications ranging from medical imaging and cancer radiotherapy dosimetry to inspection of batteries, electronics, and manufactured parts. Their proprietary technology, backed by more than eight active patents, allows scalable production of scintillator films in various forms, thicknesses, and sizes. BrightComSol aims to make X-ray imaging safer, faster, and more affordable globally.
