Sample e.g. acetone, identifying method, involves measuring resonance curve of resonant mode with and without sample, and identifying sample based on determined variation of resonance frequency compared to measurement without sample
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
The patent describes a method and device for identifying a chemical sample (such as acetone) by measuring how the sample affects the resonance frequency of a resonator. A high-frequency signal excites the resonator, and differences in resonance curves (with and without the sample present) are analyzed to determine the sample's identity.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Quality control in chemical manufacturing plants to verify sample purity
- Non-invasive testing or identification of chemicals in sealed containers
- Customs and border security for detecting illicit substances in bottles or containers
- Field analysis in environmental monitoring for rapid identification of unknown liquids
- Pharmaceutical lab analysis for confirming the identity of reagents or solutions
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Non-destructive testing—samples do not need to be opened or altered
- Rapid and accurate identification of chemical substances
- Can be automated and integrated into existing measurement systems
- Reduces risk of contamination and exposure compared to manual testing
- Applicable to a wide range of chemical substances without prior sample-specific calibration

Patent Abstract
The method involves disposing a container with a sample is disposed in a form of a resonator (8), and injecting a high-frequency signal into the resonator for exciting a resonant mode of the resonator. A part of the sample in the container is penetrated by resonant electric field of the resonator. A resonance curve of the resonant mode is measured with and without the sample. The sample is identified based on a determined variation of resonance frequency compared to the measurement without sample. An independent claim is also included for a device for identifying a sample in a container.
