Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

The patent describes a specialized mixture designed for use in emulsions for purifiers. This mixture includes specific alkylpolyglucosides, co-surfactants containing an alcohol group, and a unique polymer additive with both water-soluble and hydrophobic units. The careful balance of these ingredients helps to stabilize emulsions, enabling them to efficiently combine oil and water phases for applications in purification and cleaning products.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Manufacturing of air or water purifiers that require stable emulsions for trapping contaminants
  • Formulation of personal care or cosmetic products, such as cleansers or creams, needing effective emulsification
  • Industrial or household cleaning products for improved surfactant and emulsifier performance
  • Emulsions in agricultural products, such as pesticide or fertilizer delivery systems

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Enhanced stability of emulsions, leading to longer-lasting and more effective products
  • Efficient combination of oil and water phases, which can improve the performance of cleansers or purifiers
  • Potential for milder formulations, as alkylpolyglucosides are known to be less irritating and more environmentally friendly
  • Versatility in formulating a wide range of emulsified products by tuning the hydrophilic and hydrophobic balance of polymer additives

Patent Abstract

Mixture (A) comprises component I comprising alkylpolyglucoside (Ia) (80-20 wt.%) having 1-2 glucoside unit and 6-16 carbons alkyl, alcohol group containing-cosurfactant (Ib) excluding alkylpolyglucoside; and a polymer additive as component II comprising at least a water-soluble unit and at least a hydrophobic unit. Mixture comprises component I comprising alkylpolyglucoside (Ia) (80-20 wt.%) having 1-2 glucoside unit and 6-16 carbons alkyl, alcohol group containing-cosurfactant (Ib) excluding alkylpolyglucoside, where the weight content is based on component I; and a polymer additive as component II comprising either at least a water-soluble unit and at least a hydrophobic unit as component IIa, where the ratio of the number average molecular weight amounts to water-soluble units and the number average molecular weight of all hydrophobic units is 2:1 to 1000:1, preferably 10:1 to 50: 1 and at least one hydrophobic unit possesses a molecular weight of up to 1000 g/mol or at least a water-soluble unit and at least a hydrophobic unit as component IIb, where it is an amphiphilic comb polymer comprises a spine at the spine of appropriate two or more side chain, where the side chain differ among one another and/or the side chain of the spine in its amphiphilic character, or at least a water-soluble unit and at least a hydrophobic unit as component IIc, where the component IIc is an AB-diblockcopolymer or an ABA- and/or BAB-triblockcoplymer with water-soluble blocks A and hydrophobic blocks B. Independent claims are included for: (1) an emulsion obtained by diluting (A) with an aqueous solution and an oily phase; and (2) a purifier comprising the emulsion.
