Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

The invention describes a compact heat exchanger design where a dynamic-type compressor (such as a fan or pump) is integrated between segments of the heat exchanger. This configuration allows for the first medium (for heating or cooling) to be conveyed efficiently through the ducts while the second medium is heated or cooled. The integration of the compressor reduces noise by allowing the heat exchanger segments to act as sound dampers, and it also protects moving parts, offering safer and more effective operation.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Air conditioning systems in vehicles, buildings, or electronic enclosures
  • Cooling systems for batteries or fuel cells in mobile devices or electric vehicles
  • Compact refrigeration units where low noise and space-saving are important
  • Heat recovery or transfer units in industrial or energy plants
  • Heaters or coolers in portable or wearable devices
  • Medical equipment requiring compact, quiet heat management
  • Thermal management for sensitive electronics or server rooms

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Significantly reduced noise due to the sound-damping effect of the heat exchanger structure around the compressor or fan
  • More compact design by integrating the compressor into the heat exchanger rather than as a separate attachment
  • Enhanced safety by enclosing moving parts, reducing the risk of injury
  • Improved flow management and efficiency, as the compressor placement optimizes the direction and movement of the heat exchange media
  • Potential for cost savings through simplified assembly and reduced need for additional soundproofing components
  • Versatile application—can be used with both gases and liquids for heating or cooling purposes
  • Flexible design allows for multiple configurations to best suit different thermal management challenges

Patent Abstract

The invention relates to a heat exchanger which has ducts for conducting a first medium (B) for cooling or heating a second medium (A) and which also has a dynamic-type compressor (1) arranged on the heat exchanger for conveying the first medium (B) through the ducts of the heat exchanger, wherein the heat exchanger comprises at least two parts between which the dynamic-type compressor is arranged. As a result of the integration of the dynamic-type compressor between the individual parts (segments) of the heat exchanger, it is firstly possible to retain a compact design and the heat exchanger secondly functions as a silencer for the dynamic-type compressor which is required for conducting the cooling or heating medium through the heat exchanger. The method according to the invention for cooling or heating a second medium (A) by means of a first medium (B) is characterized in that, in a heat exchanger, the second medium (A) is conducted at at least two sides past a dynamic-type compressor through which the first medium (B) is conducted.
