Priavoid GmbH
Priavoid GmbH is a clinical-stage biotech company developing innovative all-D-peptide therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS, and tauopathies.
About
Priavoid GmbH is a clinical-stage drug discovery and development company focused on treating severe neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, ALS, tauopathies, and Huntington's disease. Founded in 2017 as a spin-off from Forschungszentrum Jülich and Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Priavoid develops novel, all-D-peptide drug candidates with an innovative anti-prionic mode of action to specifically dissolve neurotoxic protein aggregates that cause these diseases. The company's leading candidate PRI-002 is in phase II clinical trials for Alzheimer's. Priavoid’s compounds are orally available, stable peptides that directly target pathogenic protein oligomers in the brain, with the aim of disease modification and improved patient outcomes. The company is privately financed and has received significant funding and recognition through both public and private R&D collaborations.
