Method for Providing Data on Mobile Terminals and Mobile Terminal for Performing the Method
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention provides a method and system for mobile devices to automatically synchronize and share data between users. When a user creates or modifies a data set (like a contact, calendar entry, note, or photo) in a local application on their mobile device, the updated data is automatically pushed to other users' devices and integrated into their corresponding local applications transparently. The system includes authentication to control which users/devices receive which data, supporting both server-based and peer-to-peer network architectures.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Automatic synchronization of address books among contacts on mobile devices.
- Collaborative calendar and event management, where updates propagate in real-time across all group members' devices.
- Sharing and updating multimedia content (such as photos or videos) among a defined group of users.
- Collaborative editing of notes, to-do lists, or shopping lists that remain consistent across devices and users.
- Publishing and updating status information (such as availability or device status) between trusted users in social or professional networks.
- Group-based communications and updates in enterprise or team environments, where document or contact changes should be reflected across all relevant mobile users.
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Eliminates the need for manual data transfer or synchronization between users' devices.
- Ensures everyone in an authorized group has immediate access to the latest information.
- Enhances collaboration and productivity by allowing seamless editing and sharing of data sets.
- Strong access control and security through user authentication and data encryption.
- Supports both client/server and peer-to-peer models, offering flexibility and scalability.
- Integrates directly into existing mobile applications, providing a transparent and user-friendly experience.
- Enables offline updates with automatic synchronization once connectivity is restored.

Patent Abstract
The invention relates to a method for providing data on mobile terminals, comprising the following steps: providing a continuous network connectivity of a plurality of mobile terminals (400) of different users (410), executing (101) a local application (200) on one of the terminals (400), which leads to a creation or a change of a data set, and automatically providing (102-104) the created or changed data set on the other terminals (400). The created or changed data set is automatically provided (102-104) on the other terminals (400) in that the created or changed data set is transmitted to the other terminals (400) by means of a PUSH service (230) and the created or changed data set is transparently integrated into the corresponding local application (200) on the other terminals (400). The invention further relates to a mobile terminal for performing such a method.
