Device for keeping away insects from outdoor area section e.g. at quiescent places, fodder or water places, comprises shielding element, which has insecticide, which is transmitted to insects touching shielding element
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention describes a device designed to repel or eliminate insects from outdoor areas by using a shielding element coated with microcapsules containing insecticide. When insects touch the shielding element, the insecticide is transferred to them, effectively reducing their presence in the protected area.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Protecting livestock areas such as barns or feeding/watering stations from insect infestation.
- Providing a safer outdoor resting area for people by reducing insect contact.
- Reducing mosquitoes and pests in residential gardens or patios.
- Setting up insect-free zones for outdoor restaurants or recreational spaces.
- Protecting stored food supplies in open-air environments from insect contamination.
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Targeted delivery of insecticide only upon insect contact, reducing environmental exposure.
- Prolonged insecticide effectiveness due to microcapsule technology.
- Reduced need for frequent reapplication of insecticides.
- Minimized human and animal exposure compared to spraying or fogging methods.

Patent Abstract
The device comprises a shielding element (3), which has an insecticide, which is transmitted to insects touching the shielding element. A multiplicity of individual microcapsules (10) is also provided, which contains the insecticide (13) in their respective interior (11). The insecticide is enclosed by an envelope (12) surrounding the interior of the individual microcapsules. The microcapsules stay in connection with the shielding element by the insecticide or by a binding substance (14) arranged on the envelope. An independent claim is also included for a method for applying an insecticide on a screen element of a device, which involves utilizing insecticide inside a micro cap, which has a surrounding covering.
