Two Gain-of-Function Variants of ROCK2 and ROCK3 of the Cytokinin Receptors AHK2 and AHK3
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This patent describes gain-of-function variants, called rock2 and rock3, in the cytokinin receptor proteins AHK2 and AHK3. It covers isolated nucleic acids encoding these protein variants and methods for generating transgenic organisms, especially plants, that include at least one of these cytokinin receptor variants. These modifications can enhance or alter cytokinin signaling in the organisms.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Development of genetically modified crops with improved growth or yield.
- Production of plants with enhanced stress resistance, such as drought or salinity tolerance.
- Creation of research tools to study cytokinin signaling in plant biology.
- Genetic engineering of ornamental plants for desirable traits such as larger flowers or altered growth patterns.
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Enhanced plant growth and development through improved cytokinin signaling.
- Potential for increased agricultural yields and food security.
- Enabling plants to better withstand environmental stresses.
- Facilitation of advanced plant research leading to additional agricultural innovations.

Patent Abstract
