It was the initiator and main catalyst of the Green Office Movement from 2012 to 2020, developing the Green Office Model as an approach for students and staff to institutionalize sustainability within universities. The company spread, supported, and connected Green Offices across Europe, in partnership with organisations like UNESCO and Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt. rootAbility's mission is to empower students and university stakeholders to integrate sustainability into curriculum, research, operations, and governance.
