Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

The invention describes a method and an apparatus for introducing and cooling samples inside a cryostat with a sample tube. By moving the sample through at least two sequential positions within the tube and allowing time at each position for temperature equilibration, the sample is efficiently brought to the coldest point. This staged approach reduces both the required cooling time and the amount of energy needed for cooling.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Preparing biological samples for low-temperature experiments in cryogenic research.
  • Increasing efficiency in NMR or ESR spectroscopy that requires cryogenic sample conditions.
  • Handling delicate materials that must be cooled gradually to prevent damage in material science studies.
  • Automating sample insertion and cooling in high-throughput cryogenic analysis laboratories.

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Reduces overall cooling time required for samples.
  • Minimizes the energy consumption during cooling, leading to cost savings and environmental benefits.
  • Prevents thermal shock and potential damage to sensitive samples by allowing gradual temperature equilibration.
  • Enables more efficient workflows in laboratories performing frequent cryogenic experiments.

Patent Abstract
