Die Erfindung betrifft einen Probenhalter, wie er z.B. in der Röntgenspektroskopie oder der Mikroskopie verwendet wird. Der Probenhalter weist mindestens eine Basisplatte (1), eine Druckplatte (4) und mindestens eine zwischen Basisplatte und Druckplatte angeordnete Kegelfeder (3), die senkrecht auf die Druckplatte wirkt, auf. Erfindungsgemäß ist der Probenhalter dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass er ferner mindestens eine Probenhalteklammer (5) und mindestens eine auf der Basisplatte (1) angeordnete Schiene (2) aufweist, wobei die Probenhalteklammer (5) stufenlos entlang der Schiene verschiebbar ist und die Druckplatte (4) und die Probenhalteklammer (5) kraftschlüssig zusammenwirken.
