Plasma Generating Device, Plasma Generating System, Method of Generating Plasma and Method for Disinfecting Surfaces
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This patent describes a flexible plasma-generating device, which can be used as a patch, bandage, or wound dressing for disinfecting surfaces through the local generation of cold atmospheric plasma. The invention features a safe, robust electrical high-voltage plug system and textile electrode construction, enabling effective and adjustable plasma application even over large or irregular surfaces. The device can be used individually or as part of a scalable system to cover and treat extensive or non-flat areas, and is particularly suited for medical or hygiene purposes.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Medical wound disinfection and accelerated healing, especially for large or irregular wounds (e.g., burns, ulcers)
- Sterilization and disinfection of human, animal, or plant tissues or mucous membranes
- Surface sterilization of medical tools, equipment, or facility surfaces
- Integration into wearable or conformal medical devices for regular antimicrobial treatments
- Disinfection of inanimate surfaces in clinical, veterinary, or food-handling settings
- Potential use in flexible, disposable bandages or plasters that deliver plasma therapy on contact
