Cold plasma beam producing device i.e. plasma hand-held device, for microplasma treatment of materials for e.g. cosmetic purpose, has high frequency-generator, coil, body and high voltage-electrode integrally arranged in metal housing
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
The invention is a hand-held device that generates a focused beam of cold plasma for treating materials. It integrates a high-frequency generator, coil, insulating body, and high voltage electrode inside a metal housing, which also serves as a grounded electrode. The design allows for process gas, like an inert gas, to permeate through the core components, enabling safe and effective plasma generation for surface treatments.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Cosmetic skin treatments (e.g., wrinkle reduction, acne treatment)
- Sterilizing and disinfecting medical equipment or surfaces
- Surface modification of materials in industrial or laboratory settings
- Precision cleaning of sensitive electronic components
- Dental or dermatological procedures requiring non-thermal plasma
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Hand-held, portable design makes it suitable for point-of-care or in-situ treatment
- Cold plasma is safer for living tissues, reducing thermal damage compared to traditional plasma devices
- Efficient and targeted plasma generation allows for precise surface treatments
- Integration of key components ensures durability and ease of use
- Potential for reduced infection risk due to effective sterilization and disinfection capabilities

Patent Abstract
The device has a metal housing (7) functioning as an earthed electrode (2) in an emergent region of plasma (1). A high frequency-generator (8), a high frequency-resonance coil (5), an insulating body (4) and a high voltage-electrode (3) e.g. spicular electrode, are integrally arranged in the housing so that the generator, the coil, the body and the voltage-electrode are permeated or circulated around by process gas (6) e.g. inert gas. The coil includes a closed ferrite core suitable for high frequency. The body acts as a gas nozzle. The high voltage-electrode is installed in the body.
