The present invention relates to a conveying device (1) for the transport and handling of goods (5), which has an arrangement of a plurality of actuators (2) that form a conveying surface along which the goods (5) move, wherein the actuators (2) are movable at least perpendicular to the conveying surface and can be individually or in groups controlled differently and subjected to different levels of kinetic energy, wherein through a defined upward movement of the actuator or actuators (2) with which the goods (5) are at least partially in contact, an impulse is exerted on the goods (5) in the conveying direction, by which the goods (5) are moved in the conveying direction, as well as a method for the transport and handling of goods (5) on a conveying device (1).
