Method for the production of functionalized cellular materials
AISimple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This patent describes a method for producing functionalized cellular ceramic materials or cellular glasses. The process involves coating granular sacrificial materials, incorporating them into a batch, forming a ceramic green body, and firing it to burn out the sacrificial material, resulting in a cellular material with a functionalized internal surface.

Patent Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing cellular ceramic materials (CM) or cellular glasses, comprising at least the following steps: • provision of a sacrificial material (SM) in granular form, coating of the SM and fixation of the coating on the SM, • incorporation of the coated SM into a batch, • production of a ceramic green body from the SM-containing batch, • firing of the green body with destruction of the sacrificial material, whereby the internally coated cellular material is produced.
