About

RADEC GmbH is a Swiss spin-off from the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), located in the Canton of Aargau, near Zurich. The company utilizes high-energy particle accelerators at PSI and other locations to test electronic components and materials for resistance to radiation effects. RADEC offers consulting, analysis, custom electronics manufacturing, and comprehensive radiation hardening services. Their mission is to ensure that mission-critical technologies—used in aerospace, space, military, automotive, and power industries, among others—are robust against radiation-induced failures. RADEC also collaborates in the development and operation of instruments for major space missions, offering radiation effects testing, problem analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, shielding optimization, and manufacturing of support electronics for radiation test campaigns.
