Residual Material-Based Composition for the Preparation of a Geopolymer Light Stone; Geopolymer Light Stone, Method for Its Preparation and Its Use
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This patent describes a method for creating lightweight geopolymers (light stones) from entirely residual or waste-based materials. It covers a specific composition that includes an aluminosilicate binder, an alkaline activator, and a porosifying agent, all derived from industrial waste products. The process enables the production of lightweight, strong, and heat-resistant stones with high porosity, which can be made at relatively low temperatures and are fully recyclable at end-of-life.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Construction of energy-efficient, lightweight building blocks and panels for insulation or structural applications
- Production of fireproof and thermally-insulating materials for furnace linings or kiln car construction
- Utilization of industrial by-products (such as fly ash, red mud, or silicon waste) in the building materials sector, reducing landfill needs
- Manufacturing of recyclable, eco-friendly building materials for sustainable architecture
- Creation of specialized light stones for use in high-temperature industrial settings
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Reduces the consumption of natural resources by using exclusively waste-based inputs
- Minimizes landfill and waste disposal requirements, promoting circular economy principles
- Allows production at lower energy cost due to low-temperature processing
- Produces materials that are both lightweight and structurally robust, with good thermal and fire resistance
- Final products are fully recyclable, further enhancing sustainability
- The process immobilizes potentially harmful substances from waste within the geopolymer matrix, reducing environmental risks

Patent Abstract
