Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This patent describes a method for recovering valuable materials from industrial sludge, particularly from tailings ponds where low-value sludge is stored. The technique involves rinsing the sludge under controlled conditions so that reusable materials concentrate in specific zones, allowing for efficient extraction using specialized equipment such as floating excavators.

Patent Abstract

The method for obtaining recyclable material from tailings ponds receiving low-valuable industrial sludge, comprises rinsing the sludge in a tailing, where the rinsing regime influences the sludge so that the recyclable material contained in the sludge sediments in an area (8) of the tailings in order to concentrate the recyclable material. The extraction device (9) secures in the area of the recyclable material sediments. The rinsing regime considers the amount and/or the interval of outlet tubes (2) for the sludge, and the length and bias of beach area (4). The rinsing regime considers the amount and/or the interval of outlet tubes (2) for the sludge, the length and bias of beach area (4), the transitional zone in the settling ponds (5), the solid contents of the sludge and/or size, form and density of the re-usable particles. The recovery of the re-usable sediments is carried out with the operation of the tailing. The major equipment is a floating excavator, which is a base suction excavator, a gripper excavator or bucket-chain excavator. The re-usable material is pumped over tubes into a carrier piping or on barges and is rinsed at stockpile and is backfilled as solid material. The sludge is a phosphate sludge discharged during the wet-processing of the phosphate ore. The sludge is a heavy metal-containing industrial sludge.
