Method for Treatment of Solid Starting Material
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This patent describes a process for treating solid materials that contain metals or metal compounds, such as ores, residues, sludges, slags, and ashes from combustion plants. The method involves washing the material with an oxidizing acid to dissolve the metals, which can then be separated and recovered from the solution.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Recycling metals from industrial waste such as slags and filter dusts
- Extracting valuable metals from mined ores
- Treating landfill residues for metal recovery
- Processing ashes from combustion plants to reclaim metals
- Environmental cleanup by removing metals from contaminated solid materials
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Efficient recovery of valuable metals from solid waste materials
- Reduces environmental pollution by extracting hazardous metals from residues
- Provides a method for processing diverse types of metal-containing solids
- Supports sustainable resource management through metal recycling
- Can potentially lower the costs of raw metal procurement by recovering from waste streams
