Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This invention describes a process for the combined surface treatment of components made from cast iron materials. The method involves melting the surface layer of the part with an energy beam, maintaining it in a liquid state so that graphite dissolves, cooling it to form a hard, graphite-free structure, and then applying a thermochemical treatment like nitriding to create a highly durable surface layer.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Manufacturing of highly wear-resistant automotive components such as camshafts, crankshafts, or cylinder liners.
  • Production of durable machine parts for heavy-duty industrial equipment.
  • Enhancement of tools and components in the construction and agricultural machinery sectors.
  • Improvement of corrosion and wear resistance in pipe fittings and valves made from cast iron.

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Substantially increases the wear and hardness of cast iron components.
  • Creates a strong, durable, and graphite-free surface resistant to mechanical and chemical stress.
  • Enables the production of parts with improved surface properties without replacing the entire material.
  • Offers flexibility to apply various surface treatments like nitriding for tailored functional requirements.

Patent Abstract
