Method for the Absorption of CO2 from a Gas Mixture
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention describes a process for removing carbon dioxide (CO2) from gas mixtures using specific absorption media. The process uses compounds such as isopropylideneglycerin, glycerol formal, or glycerol carbonate as the selective absorption agents. These media are non-toxic, have a high capacity for absorbing CO2, and do not require low temperatures to work effectively, making them suitable for applications like upgrading biogas to biomethane or cleaning flue gases.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Upgrading biogas to biomethane by removing CO2.
- Purification of industrial exhaust or flue gases to reduce CO2 emissions.
- Treatment of other CO2-containing gas mixtures in chemical processing.
- Use in carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems for environmental management.
- Development of more sustainable and efficient bioenergy and combustion processes.
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

Patent Abstract
