High Frequency Signal Switching Matrix
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention presents a high-frequency signal switching matrix system that allows flexible and configurable connections between a large number of analog signal inputs and outputs, operating across a wide frequency range (50 MHz to 3 GHz). The matrix employs a modular design using a main switching module, input and output modules, and detachable function modules, which can be easily swapped or reconfigured even during operation. The system offers features like impedance adaptation, signal amplification, frequency-dependent attenuation compensation, live signal path monitoring, and intuitive touch-screen control.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Broadcast centers and TV studios requiring flexible routing of satellite, radio, or other analog high-frequency signals.
- Telecommunication infrastructure where dynamic allocation and monitoring of analog RF paths are essential.
- Cable TV headends or government press agencies needing robust signal management for multiple incoming and outgoing streams.
- Satellite communication earth stations for flexible, redundant analog distribution.
- Testing labs for high-frequency analog signals where setups often change and signal quality must be maintained.
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Highly flexible configuration, supporting varying numbers and types of inputs/outputs even during active operation.
- Supports both coaxial and optical signals with different impedance requirements (50/75 Ohm), increasing system compatibility.
- Modular, hot-swappable design allows fast adaptation to new requirements without major downtime.
- Ensures high signal quality with minimized crosstalk, low loss, and minimal reflection across a broad RF bandwidth (50 MHz – 3 GHz).
- Integrated signal path monitoring and defect detection improve reliability and maintenance response.
- Compact, cost-efficient construction compared to traditional coaxial switching systems, due to innovative card-edge connections and HDI PCB technologies.
- Intuitive multi-touch screen control simplifies complex matrix management, even with a high port count.

Patent Abstract
