Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This patent describes a specially designed fluidic component (a type of nozzle or flow device) that generates a controlled, oscillating jet or stream of fluid (liquid or gas) without using any moving parts. The design uses a main flow channel and one or more auxiliary channels and features an inlet that is the same size or larger than the outlet. This results in a high-speed, compact and oscillating fluid jet that can be precisely controlled for both direction and frequency, while reducing maintenance because it avoids wear-prone moving parts.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • High-pressure cleaning devices such as car washers, industrial cleaning systems, or pressure washers
  • Dishwashers and washing machines for more efficient and powerful cleaning jets
  • Fuel injection systems in internal combustion engines and gas turbines
  • Mixing systems for blending different fluids in industrial processes
  • Waterjet cutting or machining where high-impulse, oscillating jets can improve cutting efficiency and quality
  • Medical devices for cleaning or irrigation using controlled fluid jets

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • No moving parts, leading to high reliability and reduced maintenance needs
  • Generates a compact, high-speed, and oscillating fluid jet for improved impact and coverage
  • Minimizes risk of internal cavitation and associated damage, increasing lifespan of the device
  • Versatile design adaptable to various fluid types, pressures, and industries
  • Can be tuned or customized for specific oscillation frequency and jet properties
  • Reduced noise and vibration compared to conventional systems with moving parts
  • Potential for self-cleaning capability to avoid clogging and hygiene issues

Patent Abstract

The invention relates to a fluidic component (1) comprising a flow chamber (10) through which a fluid flow (2) can flow, said fluid flow entering the flow chamber (10) through an inlet opening (101) of the flow chamber (10) and exiting the flow chamber (10) through an outlet opening (102) of the flow chamber (10), and which flow chamber has at least one means for changing the direction of the fluid flow (2) at the outlet opening (102) in a controlled manner, in particular in order to form a spatial oscillation of the fluid flow (2) at the outlet opening (102). The flow chamber (10) has a main flow channel (103), which interconnects the inlet opening (101) and the outlet opening (102), and at least one auxiliary flow channel (104a, 104b) as means for changing the direction of the fluid flow (2) at the outlet opening (102) in a controlled manner. The fluidic component is characterized in that the inlet opening (101) has a larger cross-sectional area than the outlet opening (102), or the inlet opening (101) and the outlet opening (102) have cross-sectional areas that are equal in size.
