Fluidic Component
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention describes a fluidic component (such as a nozzle) with parallel front and rear walls with a chamber between them through which a fluid can flow from an inlet to an outlet. Uniquely, near the outlet, the front and/or rear wall has a specially curved section that redirects the fluid stream. This design allows the fluid to exit at an adjustable angle and produces an oscillating (moving) jet, all without the need for moving parts, making the component particularly compact.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Dishwashers, washing machines, and other cleaning appliances for producing powerful, moving jets for enhanced cleaning performance
- Vehicle windscreen-cleaning nozzles
- Industrial equipment for surface cleaning or material processing using oscillating fluid jets
- Hand-held showerheads or faucets that require saving space but want dynamic spray patterns
- Steam ovens or industrial steam cleaning devices
- Mixing devices in process industries needing adjustable fluid flow direction
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Compact design allows installation in space-limited devices
- No moving parts—reduced wear, maintenance, and manufacturing cost
- Low risk of failure compared to traditional motorized oscillating nozzles
- Ability to tailor the direction and shape of the fluid jet by adjusting the wall curvature
- Enhanced cleaning or spraying performance via oscillating jets without moving components
- Improved device longevity due to minimization of mechanical parts
- Versatility—applicable to fluids such as water, steam, or mixtures

Patent Abstract
The invention relates to a fluidic component (1) with a front wall (12) and a rear wall (13), which extend substantially parallel to a main plane of extent of the fluidic component (1). Arranged between the front wall (12) and the rear wall (13) is a flow chamber (10) through which a fluid stream (2) can flow which enters the flow chamber (10) through an inlet opening (101) of the flow chamber (10) and emerges from the flow chamber (10) through an outlet opening (102) of the flow chamber (10). The direction of flow of the fluid stream (2) is substantially parallel to the main plane of extent. The fluidic component (1) is characterized in that the front wall (12) and/or the rear wall (13) have, in the region of the outlet opening (102), a curved portion (121, 131) which is designed to deflect the direction of flow of the fluid stream in the region of the outlet opening (102).
