Patent Abstract
The present invention comprises a piezoelectric device having a stacked arrangement of two mutually opposing cover layers or cover layer regions, each of which is formed from at least one planar, non-rigid substrate made of electrically non-conductive and non-piezoelectric material; at least two piezoelectric units arranged between the cover layers or cover layer regions and stacked one above the other, each of which is formed from an inner electrode layer and an outer electrode layer and at least one piezoelectric layer located between the respective inner and outer electrode layer; and an electrically insulating barrier layer located between the piezoelectric units, a book formed therewith, and a method for its manufacture.
