Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This invention is an extruder specifically designed for milling rubber, featuring a stator with a unique inner profile. The stator includes an area with pocket-like recesses and a transverse groove (scissor area) that helps in cutting or shearing the rubber as it moves through the extruder, enhancing the milling process.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Processing and breaking down rubber materials in the manufacturing of tires or other rubber products.
  • Recycling of used rubber materials, such as old tires, by efficiently milling them for reuse.
  • Industrial plastic or rubber compounding processes where fine and consistent milling of rubber is required.
  • Preparation of rubber for further chemical processing or material blending.

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Improved efficiency in milling rubber through the specialized groove and recess design.
  • Enhanced control over the size and quality of the milled rubber.
  • Potential reduction in wear and energy consumption due to optimized shearing action.
  • Versatile application in both new rubber processing and recycling operations.

Patent Abstract

The extruder has a stator comprising an inner profile and surrounding a cylindrical rotor (1). An annular gap is formed between the rotor and the stator. An insert area (11) with a screw conveyor (3) is formed between the rotor and the stator. The profile has a pocket-like recesses axially extending in to a milling area (12) between the insert area and a discharging area (13). The recesses are spaced at a distance from each other. The profile comprises a scissor area with a groove between the recesses, where the groove extends transverse to longitudinal axis of the stator. An independent claim is also included for a method for milling rubber.
