The invention relates to a device (10) configured to position a working unit (11) in one or more translational degrees of freedom (x, y, z) and/or rotational degrees of freedom (dx, dy, dz). For this purpose, the device (10) has at least one positioning unit (12), wherein each positioning unit (12) comprises a positioning drive (13), a holding device (14) and a tension member (15). A tension member section (15a) of the tension member (15) extends between the holding device (14) and the working unit (11) with a length (L) that can be adjusted by means of the associated positioning drive (13). At least one connecting line (27) is part of the tension member (15). Each connecting line (27) can be a fluid line (27f), an electrical line (27e) or an optical fiber (271). Via the at least one connecting line (27), a working medium can be transmitted unidirectionally or bidirectionally between the working unit (11) and the positioning unit (12).
