Making Textile-Reinforced Mineral Building Components with Continuous Fiber Impregnation
AISimple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention describes a method and apparatus for manufacturing fiber- or textile-reinforced mineral building components. The process involves drawing a textile fiber material from a supply unit, impregnating it with a curable polymer and/or mineral suspension, and placing it in or on a not-yet-hardened mineral matrix. The supply and advance of the fiber material are carefully coordinated to optimize impregnation before integration into the mineral component.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Production of reinforced concrete panels for facades or structural elements
- Manufacturing lightweight, yet strong, building components for bridges or floors
- Fabrication of pre-fabricated building blocks with enhanced mechanical properties
- Creation of custom-shaped architectural elements using additive manufacturing techniques
- Use in infrastructure projects requiring durable, reinforced masonry or cement-based products
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Improved mechanical strength and durability of mineral-based building components
- Enhanced control over the impregnation and integration of fibers, leading to consistent quality
- Potential for automation and increased production efficiency
- Ability to use different types of fibers and impregnating materials, increasing versatility

Patent Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing a textile-reinforced, mineral component, wherein in the method a textile fiber material is withdrawn from a fiber material supply unit, impregnated in an impregnation device with at least one curable polymer and/or a mineral suspension, and in a not yet cured state is brought into and/or onto a not yet cured mineral matrix material, wherein the textile fiber material is withdrawn from the fiber material supply unit with a feed unit which is located in the processing direction of the textile fiber material upstream of the impregnation device. The invention further relates to a device for producing a textile-reinforced, mineral component, wherein the device comprises a fiber material supply unit on which a textile fiber material is received, a fiber material withdrawal unit for withdrawing the textile fiber material received on the fiber material supply unit, and an impregnation device for impregnating the textile fiber material with a curable polymer and/or a mineral suspension, wherein the fiber material withdrawal unit is a feed unit arranged in the processing direction of the textile fiber material upstream of the impregnation device.
