Patent Abstract

The subject matter of the present invention is a method for producing semi-finished products from fiber-reinforced ceramic, monolithic ceramic, refractory metal or from a plastic decomposable by pyrolysis for further processing into ceramic matrix composites, in which reinforcing fibers are present as fiber bundles or reinforcing fiber semi-finished products. The surfaces of the reinforcing fibers are coated with a base resin containing naphthol, resorcinol and phloroglucinol as well as various xylenols and with a dispersion mixture consisting of styrene and bisphenol A and enriched with an epoxide. This is followed by the use of a peroxide as an initiator of a cross-linking reaction of the components, which is followed by thermal treatment under exclusion of oxygen.
