Legevorrichtung für bandförmiges Material (nachfolgend Band genannt) mit einem ersten Greifersystem zum Ausziehen eines ersten Bandes aus einem ersten Speicher sowie mit einer ersten Trenneinrichtung und einer Ablagefläche zum Ablegen eines abgetrennten Bandabschnittes des ersten Bandes, wobei das erste Greifersystem und die Ablagefläche relativ zueinander in mehreren Achsen bewegbar sind und wobei das erste Greifersystem wenigstens einen ersten axial bewegbaren Greifer zum Greifen des Bandes aufweist, der entlang einer Längsachse zum Ausziehen und Positionieren des Bandes bewegbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Legevorrichtung mindestens ein zweites Greifersystem mit wenigstens einem zweiten Greifer zum Ausziehen eines zweiten Bandes aus einem zweiten Speicher aufweist, wobei der erste und der zweite Greifer aufeinanderzu und voneinanderweg bewegbar sind.
