Patent Abstract
The invention relates to a device for stripping off applied excess material with a squeegee, which is moved by a drive between two stationary parts arranged at a distance from one another and with the material located therebetween, and a use of such a squeegee. The device is characterized in particular by a light and compact squeegee with integrated collision protection. For this purpose, the squeegee is connected to a body made of a magnetic shape memory alloy. Furthermore, the stationary parts each have a device for reorienting the crystal lattice of the body made of the magnetic shape memory alloy, so that the squeegee is lowered when the length increases and is raised when the length decreases. Furthermore, the body made of the magnetic shape memory alloy connected to the squeegee is an inherent collision protection device of the squeegee, wherein upon collision of the squeegee with an obstacle and the force acting on the body as a result, a reorientation of the crystal lattice of the body and the resulting change in length raises the squeegee.
