Die Erfindung betrifft Einrichtungen zur Bestimmung der elektrischen Kapazität. Die Einrichtungen zeichnen sich insbesondere dadurch aus, dass die elektrische Kapazität zwischen zwei Messelektroden unabhängig von den Erdungseigenschaften messbar ist.Dazu sind zwei Messelektroden beabstandet nebeneinander angeordnet. Jede der Messelektroden ist mit einer geerdeten Wechselspannungsquelle verbunden, wobei die Ausgangsspannungen der Wechselspannungsquellen invertiert oder differentiell zueinander sind und der fließende Strom ein Maß zur Bestimmung der elektrischen Kapazität zwischen den Messelektroden ist.
