Chain link for continuous chain, has two chain connecting sections opposite to each in course direction and reinforcement element connected to chain connecting sections
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention is a plastic chain link designed for use in continuous chains, featuring two connecting sections that are reinforced by a closed-loop element made from strong fibers like glass, carbon, polymer, or metal. The reinforcement loop increases the link's strength and durability while maintaining a lightweight construction.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Industrial conveyor systems where durable yet lightweight chain links are needed
- Automated production lines requiring reliable, reinforced chain links
- Applications in transport or logistics involving continuous chains, such as escalators or elevators
- Food and beverage manufacturing conveyors needing corrosion-resistant components
- Agricultural machinery requiring strong, resilient chains
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Enhanced mechanical strength and durability of the chain link due to fiber reinforcement

Patent Abstract
The chain link (1) has two chain connecting sections opposite to each in a course direction and a reinforcement element connected to the chain connecting sections. The chain link is made from plastic. The reinforcement element is formed as a closed circulating loop (3). The two chain connecting sections (5a,5b) of the chain link are entangled by the loop. The loop is made from a fiber base element, which has a circulating fiber strand, a circulating woven fabric, a circulating knit-fabric or a circulating non-woven fabric, particularly glass fiber, carbon fiber, polymer fiber or metal fiber. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing chain link; and (2) a continuous chain with an outer link.
