Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

The invention describes a device for reducing thermal stress and regulating the microclimate inside a protective helmet. This is achieved by integrating at least one capsule arrangement containing phase change material (PCM) into the helmet shell and/or providing a compressed gas line to allow cooling by expanding gas inside the helmet. The patent also covers a protective helmet equipped with this device.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Protective helmets for firefighters, miners, or industrial workers
  • Military or police helmets used in hot environments
  • Sports helmets, such as cycling or motorsport helmets, to enhance comfort and safety
  • Construction helmets for use in high-temperature conditions
  • Helmets for rescue personnel working in hazardous or thermally demanding situations

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Reduces heat stress on the wearer, improving safety and comfort
  • Actively regulates the internal temperature and humidity of the helmet
  • Can be applied to various types of protective headgear
  • Provides enhanced wearer endurance and concentration by maintaining a more comfortable microclimate
  • Utilizes phase change materials and/or active cooling, potentially enabling passive and active temperature regulation

Patent Abstract
