Biosmart GmbH, founded in May 1996, is a Swiss laboratory located in Bern. Spun out from the University of Bern's Food Chemistry Group, it specializes in PCR-based analyses, including the detection of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), allergens, animal species in food, viruses, and bacteria. Accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 since 2000, the company is authorized to develop, validate, and perform proprietary test methods for use within their accredited framework.
