Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This invention describes an air purification system that combines photocatalyst technology with gas hydrate processes to remove both particulate matter (such as fine dust) and harmful gaseous pollutants like nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and carbon dioxide from the air. The system purifies air in two stages: first, removing particles and nitrogen oxides with a photocatalyst and water spray, and then removing other gases with gas hydrates. This approach is especially suited for large-scale air treatment applications.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Air purification in urban areas with high pollution levels
  • Installation in industrial facilities to reduce emission of gaseous pollutants and particulates
  • Use in public venues such as airports, train stations, or malls to improve indoor air quality
  • Integration in smart city infrastructure for large-scale environmental management
  • Deployment in regions affected by smog, wildfires, or dust storms for emergency air cleaning

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Removes both fine dust and multiple types of harmful gases, offering comprehensive air cleaning
  • Double-stage purification increases overall filtering efficiency
  • Especially effective for large-scale air treatment (e.g., entire buildings or large public spaces)
  • Reduces health risks associated with airborne particulates and toxic gases
  • Utilizes environmentally friendly processes (photocatalysts and gas hydrates)
  • Can be implemented as an upgrade or retrofit to existing air handling systems

Patent Abstract

The present invention provides a photocatalyst-gas hydrate-based air purification system for removing contaminant particles such as fine dust contained in air and gaseous pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and carbon dioxide. The photocatalyst-gas hydrate-based air purification system according to the present invention provides a system structure in which air is double-purified by a photocatalyst spray tower unit in which contaminant particles and nitrogen oxides are removed by a photocatalyst and water spray, and a gas hydrate spray tower unit/bubble tower unit in which gaseous pollutants such as sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide are removed by gas hydrates. Thus, it is possible to increase the efficiency of removing fine dust and improve an air purification function. Also, a technology in the present invention can be effectively applied to air treatment in a large-scale area larger than a set scale.
