Patent Abstract
The radial compressor (10) has a diffuser radially arranged around an impeller (12) and provided downstream to the impeller. The diffuser has a number of movable guide vanes (20) that is immovably fixed in a side wall (16) of a compressor housing (18). The guide vanes are provided with recesses (22) in the side wall. The recesses are arranged in a middle section of the guide vanes at predetermined distance to the impeller. Outer diameter of the diffuser corresponds approximately to 1.5 times of impeller diameter.
