Method for Locating a Moving Object and Transponder Therefor
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
The patent describes a method for locating a moving object using a chipless, passive transponder that is coded with several areas having different polarimetric properties. When the transponder is illuminated by a radar station with polarized electromagnetic waves, the reflected waves create a polarization-coded image. This allows the radar station to identify the transponder, and consequently, determine the current position of the moving object. The patent also covers the specific design of such transponders.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Asset tracking in logistics and supply chain management
- Monitoring the movement of vehicles or equipment in industrial or warehouse settings
- Tracking luggage or containers at airports and seaports
- Security applications for identifying and locating tagged articles
- Tracking items in automated production or storage systems
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Enables accurate location tracking without the need for battery-powered or chipped devices
- Reduces maintenance cost due to the use of passive (battery-free) components
- Difficult to tamper or disable, enhancing security and reliability
- Enables identification and tracking even in challenging environments where electronic tags may fail
- Scalable and suitable for tracking large numbers of objects simultaneously

Patent Abstract
