Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This invention is a modular X-ray tube designed for generating X-ray radiation. Its structure includes modular components such as an electron emitter, an anode disc, two housing parts, a valve, and an annular sealing device which together create a vacuum-tight environment essential for X-ray production. The modular design allows for assembly before use, with the ability to evacuate the tube to a high vacuum level using the valve, which is then tightly sealed during operation.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Medical imaging equipment for diagnostics and therapy (e.g., CT scanners, X-ray imaging systems)
  • Industrial non-destructive testing for inspecting materials and components
  • Security scanning in airports and cargo handling
  • Scientific laboratory X-ray applications for research and analysis

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Simplifies assembly and maintenance due to modular construction
  • Ensures reliable vacuum sealing for consistent X-ray generation
  • Allows pre-operation evacuation, improving operational safety and efficiency
  • Potentially reduces manufacturing and servicing costs by enabling component replacement rather than whole unit replacement

Patent Abstract

The utility model relates to a modularized X-ray tube used for generating X-ray radiation. The modularized X-ray tube comprises an electron emitter used for emitting electrons; an anode disc, in particular rotationally symmetrical, having an anode surface, for generating X-ray radiation as a function of the emitted electrons; a valve; -a first X-ray tube housing part; -a second X-ray tube housing part; and-an annular sealing device, the first X-ray tube housing part, the second X-ray tube housing part and the sealing device, by means of the arrangement of one another, forming a closed, vacuum-tight X-ray tube housing, the closed X-ray tube housing surrounding the electron emitter and the anode disc, the modular X-ray tube can be evacuated with a high vacuum by means of the valve prior to operation of the modular X-ray tube such that the valve is completely closed during the generation of X-ray radiation during operation of the modular X-ray tube. The utility model also relates to an X-ray radiator device.
