Method for Manufacturing a Cast Component
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention describes a new process for making cast components. The process involves moving a mold filled with molten metal through a floating layer of particles into a fluidized bed made from carbon particles. As the mold moves into the bed, the molten metal solidifies to form the final cast part.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Manufacturing high-quality metal cast components for automotive or aerospace industries
- Producing metal parts with improved cooling rates and surface properties
- Manufacturing specialized or complex-shaped metal parts more efficiently
- Foundry operations seeking advanced casting techniques
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Potentially improved cooling and solidification control for better material properties
- Enhanced surface quality of the cast part due to the controlled particle environment
- Reduced defects commonly associated with traditional casting methods
- Possibility for increased manufacturing efficiency and consistency

Patent Abstract
