Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Bearbeiten eines Werkstücks, bei dem ein Werkstück in einem ersten Arbeitsschritt derart erzeugt wird, dass das Werkstück mindestens einen Auswerferdom zum Eingriff für mindestens einen Auswerferstift eines automatischen Auswerfers aufweist, wobei der mindestens eine Auswerferdom höchstens teilweise innerhalb eines Bereichs des Werkstücks angeordnet ist, der nach einem Bearbeitungsvorgang zur Formgebung des Werkstücks in einem weiteren Arbeitsschritt an dem Werkstück verbleibt und wobei der mindestens eine Auswerferdom zumindest teilweise während des Bearbeitungsvorgangs zur Formgebung des Werkstücks von dem Werkstück entfernt wird. Ferner betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein entsprechendes Werkstück (20).
