Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This invention describes a fastening assembly using at least one lightweight metal component and a fastening element, both made from light metal, to connect parts together. The invention specifically proposes a coated surface on the lightweight metal part where the fastening element rests. The coating includes at least one organic lacquer layer with a glass transition temperature of at least 100°C, preferably between 110°C and 125°C, improving durability and performance.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Automotive or aerospace assembly where lightweight metal parts need to be securely fastened
  • Manufacturing of lightweight structures in electronics or machinery
  • Appliances or consumer products with components made from light metals such as aluminum or magnesium
  • Bicycle, e-mobility, or recreational vehicle production using light alloys

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Improved durability and wear resistance at the interface between metal parts
  • Enhanced temperature stability due to the high glass transition temperature of the coating
  • Reduced risk of corrosion or damage at fastening points
  • Lower weight in assembled products, enabling more efficient and lightweight designs
  • Potential for improved production processes with less need for traditional protective washers or inserts

Patent Abstract
