Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

The invention describes a device that uses an acousto-optical deflector to precisely manipulate pulsed electromagnetic radiation (such as light), enabling real-time control over the beam's direction or focus. The system synchronizes the generation of sound waves with the incoming radiation pulses, causing the optical beam to be diffracted or refracted as it passes through the deflector, providing dynamic beam transformation capabilities.

Patent Abstract

The device has a radiation source generating a pulsed, electro-magnetic radiation. A photo detector is used for time dissolved acquisition of radiation pulses. A triggerable signal source is coupled with the photo detector for generating sound waves with a frequency modulated control signal form. An acousto-optical deflector is synchronized with the signal source for linking of sound waves to the radiation such that refractive and/or diffractive beam transformation and/or beam deflection of the radiation is performed at the time of passage of the transit of the radiation through the deflector.
