Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This patent describes a method and device for automatically detecting differences between a real automated system (such as a manufacturing plant) and its digital twin by analyzing data traffic. The system works by recording expected communication patterns from simulations (digital twin) and comparing these to the actual communication from the physical system. If inconsistencies are found, the method identifies which real-world component deviates from its digital model, allowing targeted troubleshooting and optimization.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Commissioning and troubleshooting of automated industrial plants
  • Continuous monitoring and maintenance of smart factories
  • Updating and syncing digital twins with real-world systems after retrofits or repairs
  • Fault detection and alerting for manufacturing lines
  • Optimization of performance parameters in industrial automation
  • Quality assurance in production environments with digital twins

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Automates and accelerates identification of mismatches between real and simulated systems
  • Reduces manual debugging efforts and minimizes downtime
  • Helps locate faulty or changed components more quickly and precisely
  • Improves alignment between digital models (twins) and actual plant operation
  • Facilitates ongoing optimization and calibration of both the digital twin and the physical system
  • Supports better quality assurance and operational efficiency in automated facilities

Patent Abstract
