Container with display
Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
This invention describes a container (such as a cup, bottle, or mug) that incorporates a thermoelectric generator positioned between the inner and outer walls. The generator harnesses the temperature difference between the contents and the outside environment to produce electricity. This power is used to drive an integrated display (such as e-paper or LCD) on the container's exterior, which can present information like messages, images, or notifications. The system can also include wireless communication features (like Wi-Fi or NFC) for updating the displayed content.
Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Smart coffee mugs or thermoses that show drink temperature, reminders, or personalized messages.
- Reusable beverage containers in cafes or restaurants that display promotional offers, customer names, or loyalty points.
- Medical or laboratory containers that display the contents, safety warnings, or handling instructions powered by their own contents.
- Containers for the logistics industry that show package status or handling information updated via wireless systems.
- Gift mugs or bottles displaying dynamic greetings, photos, or event-specific content (e.g., wedding, birthdays).
BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.
- Self-powered display – uses the temperature difference for energy so no external power or frequent recharging is required.
- Dynamic, customizable information directly on the container's surface.
- Improved convenience and interactivity for the user (e.g., real-time updates, notifications).
- Reduces battery waste and maintenance compared to traditional powered displays.
- Wireless updating allows remote customization or integration with mobile/internet services.
- Potential for improved hygiene and ease of washing, as the display is integrated and sealed into the container.

Patent Abstract
The container (100) has a thermoelectric generator (110) which is formed between the inner and outer portions (106,108) of outer container. The thermoelectric generator is formed with respect to the temperature difference between inner and outer portions of outer container. A display (118) is provided on the outer portion of container. The electric power produced by the thermoelectric generator is supplied to display. A radio system and antenna e.g. WiFiantenna are installed.
