Patent Abstract

Es wird eine Vorrichtung zur Ermittlung einer Objektklasse eines Objektes beschrieben. Die Vorrichtung ist eingerichtet, auf Basis einer räumlichen Anordnung von Reflexionspunkten eines Lidarsensors einen Ausschnitt der räumlichen Anordnung von Reflexionspunkten für ein detektiertes Objekt zu ermitteln, und einen dem ermittelten Ausschnitt entsprechenden Teilbereich eines anhand eines Radarsensors ermittelten Radar-Würfels zu ermitteln. Die Vorrichtung ist ferner eingerichtet, die Objektklasse des detektierten Objektes auf Basis des Ausschnittes der räumlichen Anordnung von Reflexionspunkten und auf Basis des Teilbereichs des Radar-Würfels zu ermitteln.
