Simple SummaryContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

This patent describes an optical lens, particularly for use in microscopes, that includes a temperature control system arranged at the front of the lens. This temperature control device is preferably made from an optically transparent semiconductor material, such as indium tin oxide. The patent also mentions a microscope equipped with this specialized lens.

Use CasesContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Precision microscopy applications requiring stable temperature control at the specimen or objective lens
  • Live-cell imaging in biological research, where temperature can affect sample behavior
  • Industrial inspection systems needing precise temperature regulation for accurate optical measurements
  • High-resolution optical instruments sensitive to thermal expansion or fluctuations
  • Laser-based analysis tools that could benefit from minimized thermal distortion

BenefitsContent extracted from patent full text and abstract with AI.

  • Improved image stability and optical performance due to reduced temperature-induced distortions
  • Enhanced compatibility with temperature-sensitive samples, such as live biological specimens
  • Allows real-time temperature regulation without obstructing optical pathways, due to the transparent heater material
  • Helps prevent condensation or thermal gradients at the lens interface
  • Increases the reliability and usability of microscopes and optical instruments under varying environmental conditions

Patent Abstract
