About

WeGrow AG is an innovative German company founded in 2009 as a spin-off from the University of Bonn, focused on sustainable ecological timber production and the development of resource-saving, circular solid wood construction systems using fast-growing, non-invasive kiri (Paulownia) tree hybrids. By managing the entire value chain—from breeding and producing young kiri plants (PLANTS), to cultivating timber outside of natural forests (TIMBER FARMING), to processing and trading timber products (TIMBER PRODUCTS)—WeGrow bridges the gap between rising global wood demand and persistent deforestation. The company’s patented kiri hybrids, including NordMax21®, allow for industrial timber production in as little as three years, significant carbon sequestration, and the conservation of natural forests. WeGrow supplies customers in 47 countries across five continents, offers modular timber construction systems (KiriBloX®), and plays a leading role in sustainable construction innovation in Europe.
