About

Escarda Technologies is a Berlin-based company that develops sustainable, AI-assisted, laser-based weeding solutions for agriculture. Its mission is to provide a chemical-free alternative to conventional herbicides, enabling both organic and conventional farmers to control weeds precisely without harming the soil or crops. The system, mounted on a tractor, uses advanced multispectral sensors and computer vision algorithms to detect and classify plants, targeting and eradicating weeds with laser technology. The modular and scalable solutions focus on environmental protection, crop yield improvement, and support the transition towards organic production. The company is supported by minority shareholder Berlin.Industrial.Group. (B.I.G.) and benefits from the technical know-how and infrastructure of the B.I.G. Campus in Berlin.
